Public Sector - Department of Defence

Monday, 10th February 2020: Digital Lifecycle Group (DLG) and WIBIH Consulting Services partner to provide strategic services to the Public Sector, primarily the Department of Defence.

“Defence must be efficient, agile and responsive to deliver the priorities of the government in a dynamic strategic environment.” Defence 2022 Brief.

Digital Lifecycle Group, the parent company of Australian-owned software and consulting company Costs Down Revenue Up, has formed a consortium and strategic partnership with WIBIH Consulting to provide an array of services to the Australian Department of Defence. WIBIH’s “design thinking” approach and risk management skills coupled with DLG’s depth of experience in strategic sourcing and digital transformation are a winning combination to provide the right outcomes for Defence.

“I think we’re going to see more of these partnerships in the Australian marketplace,” said DLG’s Executive Chairman, Ian Woollett. “A consortium of skilled professionals can bring the right balance of experience and provide Defence with quality and value for money, delivering the outcomes they seek.”

The Digital Lifecycle Group has a history of going deeper than traditional consultants with the delivery of outcomes and savings, working with large Enterprises and Government Agencies to manage and optimise their total costs and services, in Technology and Shared Services functions.

This approach fits well with DLG and WIBIH Consulting’s culture of hands-on delivery and practical, user-lead design solutions based on the Digital Service Standard.

Both firms have a long history of providing services to Defence and government with expertise in sourcing, technology, process improvement and service integration. Previous engagements include the Navy, Army, Capability Acquisition & Sustainment Group, Chief Information Officer Group and Work Health & Safety. The teams have an extensive knowledge and familiarity with Defence business systems having delivered successful projects in the CASG Capability Life Cycle framework.

Together our Defence Specialists possess decades of intimate knowledge from closely supporting the ADF both as serving members and industry partners. Our in-depth knowledge of Defence’s strengths, weaknesses and cultural traits, as well as understanding the structure and fundamental inputs to capability, drive the government’s expectations of Defence.

Together, we value and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and networks through our extensive history of support to Defence, and continue to develop our relationship with the complexities and sensitivities of Defence and its industry.  We are proud to continue supporting the ADF through the provision and application of proprietary management methodologies for the betterment of project performance, process re-engineering, governance, assurance and risk management at tactical, strategic and enterprise levels.

With our continued commitment to support for the last decade, we have seen the increased demand across Defence, focusing on information, the evolving technology landscape and changes in the way ICT services are delivered.
